Dora Villarreal is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on criminal defense matters in Iowa and Illinois, in both state and federal court. Ms. Villarreal served as a judicial clerk in Minneapolis, MN, before returning to the Quad Cities, where she became an associate at Katz, Huntoon & Fieweiger in Moline. She began her criminal defense career at the Rock Island County Public Defender’s Office, where she represented countless clients in all types of criminal cases, from traffic tickets and DUIs, to misdemeanors and serious felonies. Ms. Villarreal has tried numerous cases over the years and has successfully won both jury and bench trials.

Ms. Villarreal is fluent in Spanish and enjoys using her language skills to assist her clients and their families during their criminal cases to ensure that they fully understand the proceedings and are receiving fair treatment in our courts. Ms. Villarreal is an active member of the Rock Island County Bar Association and the Prairie State Legal Services Leadership Committee.
